With over 6 million followers on Instagram, there's no question that Nick Bateman, full name Nicholas Kevin Stanley Yunge-Bateman, is one of the top heart-throbs of the Instagram community. Bateman is stupidly good-looking both with and without his shirt, and the good news is that he's often without it.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches tall, Bateman is a Canadian-born actor and model, beginning professionally after graduating from college and working with the likes of Abercrombie & Fitch.

In an interview with The Daily Front Row, Bateman shares that his goal is to "make movies with my good friends. All I care about is being a happy person. I could wake up in a year and be like, 'I don't want to be an actor anymore.' As long as I'm happy doing what I'm doing, that's all I care about," said Bateman.

Lucky Blue Smith was indeed lucky when he was discovered at the age of 10. After signing his first modeling contract at the young age of 12, Smith has worked with Versace for campaign covers as well for Vogue in his career thus far. Smith stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and is often recognized as an actor and musician, as well as a model. He played the role of Bridger Jenkins in the 2016 film Love Everlasting. He formed "The Atomics," a alternative band with his sisters, Pyper America, Starlie Cheyenne, and Daisy Clementine.

In an Interview with Vogue, Smith discusses his viewpoint on being an Instagram model, making it clear that he's on his A-game when it comes to the business side and the lucrative nature of his social following:

"I've never thought I am more than my Instagram followers. The way it is now, your Instagram matters so much when you model. That's what clients look for, because if you have more followers that's more views and more sales for them. It is what it is. I don't ever think about it differently. I try to embrace what I've got. That's what I am. Call me the Instagram supermodel. That is what I am," said Smith.

With his edgy, distinctive street style fashion, Luka Sabbat merits a mention on the list of hottest male Instagram models. Born to a fashion stylist mother and a fashion designer father, Sabbat has worked for brands like Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana, Yeezy, and Champion.

Sabbat shares his opinion on being an influencer in an interview with SSENSE, an e-commerce and brick-and-mortar luxury and street wear retailer based in Montreal, Canada:

"That was never my intention, but it's pretty crazy that I am. My attitude, even with clothes, was never, like, ‘This fit is for the kids.' It's more just, ‘I like these pants a lot.' There are a lot of things people are doing because of me. I don't even want to take credit for it because I hate being that guy on the internet, and also because it doesn't matter. I just think it's cool that people are doing it. It's not about credit or who did it first, but it does feel good to know you did it first. That's good enough. I'm chilling," said Sabbat.

When Reece King, full name Reece Anthony King, posted a photo on Instagram wearing a LAMODA septum ring, he didn't know that it would result in a modeling contract. Most people who started their journey in modeling around the same time as King aren't numbered amongst the top hottest male Instagram models, but for King, his journey has been an easy trip to the top. Soon after his viral photo was reposted by LAMODA, King was signed with Supa Model Management and has since then worked for brands like John Elliott, GAP, and Forever 21.

With over half a million followers on Instagram, the pressure to serve as a role model on the platform is a heavy weight to carry. When asked about how he deals with it, King shared his thoughts in a Q & A with Kurt Geiger:

"I do feel the pressure to be a role model based on my social media but I don't give in to it on a dangerous level, that's bad for my health because I'm going through life just like everyone else and all I can do is try my best. I use my platform to uplift and create positive space for anyone that's there but I decide what I do or how much I put into it. I think I have a healthy balance and it's actually getting better over time, I only want to post if I find it important and helps others in some form," said King.

Once Visser's career took off, he was soon working for reputable brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, American Eagle, Maybelline, and even Vanity Teen Magazine.

Pennsylvania-born model Matthew Noszka rightfully earns his place on the list of hottest male Instagram models, being that he was discovered on the platform itself. Noszka modeling break began when he posted a photo on Instagram and caught the attention of Luke Simone, a representative of Wilhelmina Models agency in New York City. With Simone contacting him and asking to see more photos, Noszka landed his first deal with Nike.

In an interview with the Daily Front Row, Noszka shared his experience of being discovered on Instagram by Simone:

"I was playing college basketball, working construction and waiting tables and my mom had just gotten a new pool and she wanted a new deck for it. My friend and I took a picture of me shirtless building the deck and posted it on Instagram. I only had 500 followers, and the next thing I knew I got a call from [agent] Luke Simone saying that he was interested in seeing more," said Noszka. "He sent me a direct message and asked for my digitals. At the time I didn't know that was normal. Now I know it is. I looked him up and he was legit and he got back to me and the next thing I knew I was booked to a Nike job. The rate was $1,500 for the day and I was making $7 an hour at the time. I thought I hit the jackpot."

From surfboards to billboard, model Jordan Barrett has surely made his mark in the world of male modeling, and on Instagram. With over 1 million followers, the Australian model was caught stealing matches at a convenience store on a break between his marine-aquatics class and his scuba-diving lesson. It was there when he was discovered by, luckily, a model scout and not security. Before Barrett went back to school, the scout gave him a business card, which his mom later found in his jeans pocket. A few weeks later, she e-mailed the scout some photos, hoping for a positive response. Then in 2011, Barrett moved to Sydney, and at just 17 years old, he was booked on his first modeling job in Tokyo.

Today, Barrett has traveled around the world for brands such as Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Balmain, Versace, and Moschino.

In an interview with Interview Magazine, Barrett shared that he will be remembered by his "Instagram handle," but something tells us that his career will be remembered by much more than that.

For Axel Kwenkeu, his modeling career was kickstarted by a simple trip to Ikea. Top Model Belgium, a Belgian reality show, approached Kwenkeu at Ikea when he was just 13 years old. Feeling spontaneous, Kwenkeu decided to participate in the competition, coming out on top to his surprise. Two years later, the model was invited to compete against other winners of the past ten years, and again, he won. Since then, his career has skyrocketed and life has been moving fast for the model.

In an interview with Elle, Kwenkeu says, "If I hadn't entered Ikea on that particular day, then this whole story would never have happened. I'm a typical boy, I love football and my dogs, but I don't know anything about the fashion world. It didn't really appeal to me originally, but connoisseurs claim that I have a lot of potential, so why not? I see it as one big adventure."
