The Best Wall Mounted Garage Vacuums for 2020 are:
1. VacuMaid Wall Mounted Garage Vacuum GV50B
2. Bissell Garage Pro Wall-Mounted Vacuum - 18P03
3. Craftsman Wall-Mounted Shop Vacuum - 5HP CMXEVBE17925
Scores calculated from 4880 reviews
The VacuMaid GV50B is the most well reviewed wall mountable garage vac on our list, the VacuMaid name is synonymous with American made quality and that shows here with customers raving about the GV50B. The 5.1" Ametek Lamb motor provides consistent suction that retains it's power even at the full 50ft length of the hose. The 7 gallon steel dirt tank and 50ft hose are by far the largest and longest options on our list making the VacuMaid a truly commercial level wall mount vacuum for your garage.
The wall mount bracket requires minimal installation and allows you to conveniently store your vacuum out of the way. The multiple attachments that are included give you the option to use the GV50B for all types of cleaning jobs from simply cleaning your garage floor to meticulously detailing your vehicle. VacuMaid do not advertise this model as having a blower system but you can use this capability by propping open the spring loaded port cap on the top of the unit.
The drawbacks of this mountable garage vacuum are that it is not a bagless option, so you will have to purchase replacement bags and as a result of the bag system the GV50B can not be used as a wet vac or to pick up any liquid at all. VacuMaid do sell a wet pick up attachment kit separately to negate this issue.
If you are looking for commercial grade suction power then this should be your choice, the GV50B is the most powerful garage vacuum on our list and has the largest dirt tank capacity plus the longest hose reach. The VacuMaid is the premier choice on the market and therefore earns our designation as the best wall mounted vacuum for your garage

The Bissell Garage Pro Wall Mount Vacuum is the best rated wet & dry shop vac on our list. This is the most versatile garage vacuum on the market today, with a wide range of features and multiple accessories, the value for money presented here is hard to match. Along with a powerful suction system that works well with both wet and dry tasks the Bissell 18P03 has an equally forceful blower feature that is lacking in many wet/dry shop vacs.
Designed for maximum ease of use this wall mounted vacuum cleaner comes with 7 accessory tools, a 4 Gallon dirt canister that has an LED indicator to let you know when the water tank needs to be emptied and a 32ft hose that allows you to reach all corners of your garage or vehicle. The Bissell wall mount kit is easy to install and provides you with a convenient storage option for your shop vac. The only downside to this model is the build quality of the attachment tools, some customers have reported a cheap feel to the crevice tools but they are all replaceable and this is the only issue that keeps the Bissell Garage Pro from topping our list as the best garage vacuum cleaner.
Bottom LineBissell make great vacuums at affordable prices, they may not have the highest level of suction in comparison to a commercial garage vacuum but the combination of an incredible array of features and a competitive price make the Bissell Garage Pro 18P03 the best value mountable garage vacuum on our list. This would be the option I would suggest for those looking for a wall mounted garage vacuum that does it all - regular vacuuming, wet vac jobs, blowing functionality and a long hose.

The Craftsman CMXEVBE17925 packs a lot of punch in a small package, the vacuum features 5.0 peak HP suction level with a 5 gallon dirt tank capacity in a portable form factor. The Craftsman is one of the more maneuverable mountable vacuums that we reviewed, it is designed to be used in multiple ways. The unit is easily removed from it's wall mount bracket for jobs that require it or the two hoses (7ft & 14ft) can be combined using the Craftsman Pos-I-Lock system to increase the hose reach to 21ft and allow you to vacuum or wet vac while still attached to the wall.
The Craftsman CMXEVBE17925 is one of four vacuums that we reviewed that can be used as a regular vacuum, a wet vac and as a blower. This is another option that combines versatility with reasonable pricing to make it a great choice for most people. If you need maneuverability and a wall mounted garage vacuum for all types of jobs then this would be our top choice for you.

The Shop-Vac Wet/Dry Wall Mount Vacuum 5HM400 has a 5 gallon tank capacity and a 4.0 peak HP motor. This is the highest placed vacuum on our list from Shop-vac, a company that is synonymous with the wet/dry vac industry as shown by there being 3 of their products in our top 10.
The 18ft lock-on hose should provide adequate length for most garages whether you need it for cleaning a workshop, auto detailing or just general garage maintenance. The vacuum is a little on the loud side compared to the other options we reviewed but not to the point that it would be a problem for most people. The included attachment kit provides multiple job-specific tools to increase the vacuums versatility with many customers finding this to be the units strong point. The squeegee attachment is especially useful.
This is the lowest priced wall mount garage vacuum in our top five. This would be a great option for someone looking for an entry level shop vac with both wet and dry functionality. The only issues some customers have encountered are the volume level of the motor and some of the crevice tools being on the smaller side, neither of these would prevent me from suggesting the Shop-vac 5HM400. There is no blow drying function on this model though so if you need that capability you should look at the Bissell or the Craftsman Vacuums.

The Vacmaster VWM510 is another jack-of-all-trades option that we reviewed. The unit offers regular vacuuming with a 5.0 peak HP motor, wet vac suction with a 5 gallon polypropylene tank and a blower function. The VWM510 is one of the more portable wall mount garage vacuums that we reviewed with a small form factor and a simple mount that allows for easy detachment. A dual hose system (10ft & 11ft) combines for 21ft of hose length and enables the user to maximize a unique remote control feature not found in any other option on this list. This is also the quietest garage vacuum we reviewed with many customers being greatly impressed by low decibel level, Vacmaster reports it to be only 74dB.
If you are looking for a lower priced mountable garage vacuum that can be used for all types of jobs and functions at a low noise level then I would suggest the Vacmaster VWM510. It may not have the top level suction power present in other models but at it's price this is one of the most feature rich garage vacuums you can buy.

The VacuMaid GV50PRO Wall Mounted Garage Vacuum is the number one most powerful model that we reviewed. It sports many of the same features as the non-pro model but has a larger 120 volt 5.7" Ametek Lamb motor that produces 740 Max Air Watts with a motor life of 550-65- hours.
The GV50PRO would be a great commercial wall mount vacuum, it offers the highest level suction with a large capacity dirt canister and an extra long crush-proof hose. However, for most people I would recommend getting the regular GV50. Once again this is not a vacuum to get if you need it for liquids unless you wish to also purchase the VacuMaid Wet Pick Up Kit.

The Shop-Vac 3HM300A Wall Mount Wet Dry Vacuum is the smallest and cheapest model that we reviewed. The 3.5 gallon canister capacity and 3.0 peak HP motor are the perfect size for small spaces, the 18ft hose is a little on the short side but fits in with the space saving theme of the 3HM300A. This model also seems to follow the trend of wall mountable Shop-Vac products with it being very loud during use.
This is a great choice for anyone working in a smaller space, it is one of the best garage vacuum cleaners you can buy for under $100 and provides every feature that is present in the other Shop-Vac branded products but in the smallest possible form factor. I would not recommend this vacuum for anyone that needs the blow dryer function or anyone with a regular to large sized space they wish to clean.
|Height:||2 feet 2 inches|
The Shop-Vac Bulldog 5HM450 is very functional centralized cleaning system, the 4.5 peak HP motor and 5 gallon dirt canister match up with more expensive units and the included accessories are extensive. The 25ft lock-on hose is one of the longer options of the models we reviewed and should provide more than enough cleaning flexibility. The reason the Bulldog 5HM450 is in the final spot on our list is because of the high decibel output during use.
I would recommend the Shop-Vac Bulldog to someone looking for a standard wall mounted Shop-Vac at a low price, the capacity and suction power are equal to other, more expensive options but do not buy this vacuum if you need a blow dryer or need a vacuum with a lower noise level output.
If you have made the decision to purchase a wall mounted vacuum for your garage you know that you want a space-saving centralized cleaning system but there are a few further points to consider. Wall mount hardware comes in two forms - a static mount and a detachable/removable mount, these two terms are pretty self explanatory and the decision comes down to the ultimate usage of the vacuum, will you need your vacuum to be portable and easy to move around your workspace or do your needs require the vacuum unit to remain in one location while you use the hose alone to clean the area?
Static - A statically mounted garage vacuum is fixed to one location and designed for the vacuum unit to remain in that set location during use. The bracket is usually attached to a wall stud using screws and uses a hook style system to secure the vacuum unit. Most models of this style of garage vacuum can be removed from the bracket to ease the bag/dirt tank emptying process but are not designed to be carried around the workspace during the cleaning process. This style of vacuum is most often seen in commercial settings and usually features an extra long hose to allow cleaning of the entire area. The VacuMaid GV50B is the best example of a statically mounted wall vacuum on our list
Removable - A removable/detachable mounting bracket is fixed to a wall stud using the same method as above but the mount itself is designed to allow users to easily remove the vacuum unit from the wall to increase the maneuverability of the vacuum. This style of garage vacuum is the most flexible option as it gives you the choice of using the hose alone and leaving the unit attached or detaching the unit and using it closer to the area being cleaned. This style is the best garage vacuum cleaner for smaller spaces or in areas where the vacuum is needed for multiple jobs. The Craftsman CMXEVBE17925 is the best example of a detachable wall mount on our list.
Dirt canister capacity is a key deciding factor when choosing the best vacuum for your garage floor. The capacity for garage vacuums is measured in gallons and usually falls between 3-7 Gal. There is a clear correlation between canister size, (sometimes referred to as dirt tank or bin capacity) and price, the larger the canister, the higher the price. This is because for most instances of a canister capacity over 5 gallons the vacuum is intended for commercial purposes.
When choosing a vacuum you should consider the frequency with which you will be using it and the jobs that you will most often undertake. For most owners a tank capacity of 3-5 gallons would be more than enough for regular garage vacuum use like auto detailing or simple floor vacuuming.
Not all vacuums are designed for all jobs, some are made specifically for use in dry locations where they only pick up regular dust and debris. When investing in a wall mountable vacuum cleaner you should consider the jobs that you will need it for, if there is a possibility that you will encounter liquid that will require picking up you should obviously get a wet/dry model that can handle both types of pick up scenarios.
Another job you might need your garage vac for is blowing leaves or debris out of your workspace or blow drying a vehicle after detailing. In this case you would need to look for an option that has a blower system. For most people I would recommend looking for a vacuum that checks all three boxes - regular vacuuming, wet/dry & blowing capability. When a lot of these items are similarly priced why not look for the most feature packed models so you can be sure that you have all bases covered when it comes to garage cleaning solutions. There are 4 garage vacuums on our list that have all 3 key features, the highest rated one being the Bissell Garage Pro.
The length of hose that comes with your wall mounted vacuum is another key factor in making your decision. Hose length often comes down to the size of your workspace and the jobs you will be using the unit for. Before purchasing you should measure the distances from the location where you will install the unit to give you an accurate measurement of the distances you will need to cover. Longer hoses are usually included with vacuums designed to remain in a set location and a current trend for portable wall mount vacuums is to include hose extenders in their accessory kits. Hose length ranges from 18ft to 50ft so you can be sure that you will find an option to suit your situation, just ensure you know what you need before placing an order.
A common complaint amongst garage vacuum owners is the volume that the unit emanates while in use. For some people this would not be an issue as they rank suction power above all else but for others the noise level could be a deciding factor. The quietest vacuum on our list is the Vacmaster VWM510 and the loudest models are all made but the brand Shop-Vac.
To separate themselves from the crowd many vacuum manufacturers now include an array of attachments and job-specific tools designed to increase the range of tasks these already versatile machines can endure. Accessories include extension wands, crevice tools and gulper nozzles to name but a few. The accessories included with your model of choice may seem trivial but should definitely be considered if you will be needing your garage vac for very specific purposes like deep auto interior cleaning.
